Director of Accounting

Industry leading company in New York City is hiring an Accounting Director that will head up the corporate accounting function of the firm. Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Director will have overall responsibility for leading and managing all general accounting activities for the global business. From a high level, some responsibilities will include: ·Implementing new policies and procedures in an effort to maintain a strong internal controls ·Oversee and maintain a quality month end close; transform and improve where necessary ·Maintain the integrity of the GL, balance sheet ·Ensure financial reporting and accounting policies are in compliance with GAAP ·Oversight of the A/P, A/R and Payroll process ·Manage, coach and develop a team of five ·Contribute to the firm’s corporate goals and strategies; interface with senior management ·Coordinate and direct audit process ·Special projects
